What we check for every export

The app walks you through the same DS-160–style requirements as a live checklist after each successful crop.

  • Print size — 2 × 2 in (51 × 51 mm), square crop.
  • Digital resolution — square side between 600 and 1200 px; the app shows your exact export size (e.g. 1200 × 1200).
  • Eye position — from the bottom of the frame, U.S. guidance targets 56–69%; we display your measured percentage.
  • Head height — 50–69% of the image height; we show your measured value against the template.
  • Background — plain white or off-white after processing.
  • Lighting — even lighting; avoid heavy shadows on the face (follow our photo tips when shooting).
  • File format — exported as JPEG for upload or printing.
  • No biometric editing — we do not reshape or slim the outline of the head, face, or neck; cropping and background replacement only.
